Becky Greenwald Receives AFSCME Iowa Council 61 Endorsement

Waukee, IA – Today, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Iowa Council 61 endorsed Becky Greenwald for Congress in Iowa’s 4th District.
Currently, AFSCME members are taking the lead in the fight to reform America’s broken healthcare system. They have created a detailed blueprint to guarantee high quality healthcare for all Iowans and Americans. Improving access to healthcare is one of the reasons Becky is running for Congress.
“AFSCME Local 61 plays a vital role in improving the lives for their members, and now, they are fighting to bring health insurance to Iowa’s 241,000 uninsured,” said Becky Greenwald, candidate for Congress in Iowa’s 4th District. “I am proud to have their endorsement and their confidence that I can make a difference for Iowa’s 4th District and represent the interests of their members in Congress.”
Danny Homan, President of Council 61 praised Greenwald for her commitment to providing health care to Iowa families, “Becky Greenwald means business when it comes to quality, affordable health care. She will be proactive in Congress and will work to make sure a health care plan is one of the first actions Congress takes in 2009.”
