What a phenom week for the Dems -- unity, great speeches by Michelle and both the Clintons, a powerful and moving address by Veep Joe Biden, and surprise best-of-their-life performances by Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer and John Kerry. Incredible! What a great, great week!
And the Bush-McCain Republicans? How are they doing? Bad, very bad, so terribly bad that even the weather is working against them. No, seriously, ask even Karl Rove:
"The Republicans can't seem to get a break when it comes to August and when it comes to the weather," said Rove, a FOX News analyst. "I know this is being thought a lot about in Washington and at the White House and discussed and I suspect they will monitor it carefully and figure out what to do."
Apparently, Rove is referring to Hurricane Katrina (which sure was tough on Bush-McCain Republicans) and Hurricane Gustav, which may be coming soon. Thanks, Talking Points Memo, for catching this.
